Q: How can I register for online banking or Net banking?
A: You can register for Net banking via four methods:
- App (Android and IOS)
- ATM (only HDFC Bank ATMs)
- Phone Banking (of your city and provide customer ID and TIN)
- Branch (Nearest HDFC Bank branch)
1. App
- On google play store or App store of your Android and IOS device and search for ‘HDFC Bank Mobile App’
- Click on the ‘Install’ Button and wait for installation
- After installation open the app and choose log In method
- Quick Access Pin
- Customer ID/ User ID
- After log In you will reach your home page form where you can access your account securely.
2. ATM
- Visit your nearest HDFC Bank ATM
- Enter your HDFC Bank Debit Card number and your ATM PIN
- Select ‘Other Option’ from the main screen
- Select ‘Net banking Registration’ and confirm
- They will courier the IPIN to your mailing address
3. PhoneBanking
- Call the PhoneBanking number in your city and give your Customer ID and Telephone Identification Number (TIN) or Debit Card and PIN
- Our PhoneBanking agent will take your Net banking registration request
- They will courier the IPIN to your mailing address in our records within 5 days
4. Branch
- Download the Net banking registration form
- Fill in the form and submit it to your nearest HDFC Bank branch
- They will courier the IPIN to your mailing address in their records
Q: How much transaction I can do with Net banking?
A: The bank offers a range of transactions across multiple products and websites. You just have to log In and conduct 200+ transactions from your office, home or mobile.
Q: Can I transfer money to any other account?
A: Yes, you can. These types of transactions are also known as third- party Transfer (TPT) by which you can transfer funds from your account to the beneficiary account. But for doing so you have to separately register for this service. Third-party transfer covers NEFT, RTGS and IMPS.
Q: What if I forget my IPIN?
A: No problem all you have to do is to reset your net-banking password (IPIN) by following steps:
- Enter your Customer ID
- Select one of the two methods for authenticating the transaction
- OTP on registered mobile number and Debit Card details
- OTP sent to your registered mobile number and email id
- Input the details requested
- Set your IPIN
- Log In to Net banking using your newly set IPIN
Q: What can I do to make Net banking safer?
A: Always choose a strong password of 6 to 8 digits of alphanumeric password and change it at regular intervals. Avoid obvious password, don’t write down your password on paper, and always use secure connections.
Q: How can I block my IPIN?
A: You will have to submit a written instruction to the bank for blocking your IPIN.
